    WOW – Women of the World – is a global network of festivals that celebrates the achievements of women and girls. The Finnish Institute in London is bringing the WOW event to Finland together with Tampere Hall and feminist think-tank Ajatushautomo Hattu. Tampere Hall’s main event 11th – 12th March 2017 will be organised in collaboration with London’s Southbank Centre. The event joins Finland into the international WOW network and it is part of the official Finland 100 anniversary programme.
    The WOW Finland’s core team and group of ambassadors consists of top professional Finnish women such as Activist Maryan Abdulkarim, Social Media Specialist Fatima Anttonen, Entrepreneur Mirja Borgström, Executive Director Marianne Heikkilä, Swedish Assembly of Finland Anna Jungner-Nordgren, Artist and author Rosa Liksom, Minister for Foreign Trade and Development Kai Mykkänen, Olympic medalist Virpi Sarasvuo and Journalist Maria Veitola.
    “WOW’s programme is made of of discussions, workshops, events, performances and film. There are events for women, men, girls and boys”, says the director of Finnish Institute in London, Pauliina Ståhlberg.
